Title: Detritus – An artist book by Don Widmer (2010)
Description: Carol Frost, poet, farmer, and son of American poet Robert Frost, burned his own poems before committing suicide on October 9, 1940. Detritus is an assemblage of fragments – burned poems, obituary – imagined by the artist. All aspects of the book, including the paper, binding, printing, text, and box were created by the artist. Edition of 5. 11 x 6.25 x .5 inches (expands to 57 x 6.25 x .5 inches); handmade and dyed paper (flax, cotton, kozo), ink, linen thread, PVA; letterpress printed, ink-jet printed.
