While I have been creating jewelry most of my life I started making glass beads in 2003 to complement my jewelry designs. I have since become blissfully lost in the world of glass and it has taken over my life in the best possible ways. It is soothing and empowering to take a molten glob and transform it into a work of art. Each bead is individually created and balanced in the flame of a torch...
... then fully annealed in a digitally controlled kiln to ensure its strength. I love doing live demonstrations of glass making at art shows. Educating the public about creating glass art is important to me. I also enjoy teaching how to make lampwork beads.
I am very proud to be part of "The Flow" annual Gallery of Women in Glass for 2019. "The Flow" is a glass journal for the flameworking community.
